Homestead Gallery
I am happy to announce that the Homestead Gallery near Kemptville Ontario will be displaying my work. The gallery displays all original art of many different tastes, jewelry, glass work, pottery, and sculpture. It is a beautiful country setting along Hy way 44 just outside of Kemptville. There are a few hidden gems along this drive which includes Green Gables Winery and the Country Side Antique Shop it makes for nice afternoon. I currently have three large pieces on display: 'Simply Be There', 'Ocean Peace', 'Sea Spray' and 'Breaking Point'

The CLSG Gala
Well, it's the day after and the Canadian Leukemia Study Group has raised over 10,000 dollars at the Gala last night. I was so honoured to have met Zaneta Pernicova http://www.ardmod.com/ and Gilda Pontbriand http://ca.geocities.com/gildart77/ , two very insprational artists. Please check out thier websites, they are absolutely fabulous ladies and masters of paint and media. I of course should mention Daniel Richer the MC for the evening who kept everyone laughing and entertained the entire evening http://www.danielricher.com/ . Deborah Vigier was an amazing
hostess and event co-ordinator and was the glue that made this event so successful. What a great night for research best of luck to Dr.Richard van der Jagt MD and his team, we all hope to hear some good news in the near future.

MEDIA RELEASE
For Immediate Release:
"Award-Winning Artists Support Survivors"
This year's Canadian Leukemia Studies Group Dinner Gala fundraiser has brought together several Canadian artists. Actor Daniel Richer, and artists Zaneta Pernicova and Christina Zeigler are just a few of the artists who have donated to support cancer research and the work of Dr. Richard van der Jagt. The Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suites plays host to the CLSG Dinner Gala on November 13, 2008 at 6pm.
Daniel Richer is once again emceeing this fundraiser. Zeigler and Pernicova are complimenting the dinner and silent and live auction with art exhibits. Both have contributed valuable pieces of art for auction and are donating 50% of monies received from the sale of their paintings at the event to CLSG.
From January to December Richer travels extensively in his role as actor, town crier, and storyteller. On Thursday, November 13 he will be putting his generous personality into overdrive and provide and evening of high quality entertainment. On his website, www.danielricher.com, it is apparent how cancer has personally touched Richer.
Zeigler grew up close to nature, always involved in wildlife and the outdoors. Her paintings are an excellent display of various Canadian landscapes. This is the
second time that Zeigler has come in with an exhibit to support the research of the Canadian Leukemia Studies Group.
Pernicova's family immigrated to Canada in 1993 from Europe. Art, history, music, and politics are great influences in her work, and are prevalent in her life. "I am inspired by all things visible and invisible. There is not a minute of the day where I do not feel inspired to paint," states Pernicova. Her unique style of art offers a realm of culture and history.
"Richer, Zeigler, and Pernicova are my heroes," states event chair Deborah Vigier. "The time and money they have given to ensuring the success of the CLSG Dinner Gala places them in the category of heroic Canadians. They are an inspiration to me in my own battle against cancer." All proceeds from the CLSG Dinner Gala go to the research of Dr. Richard van der Jagt at the Canadian Leukemia Studies Group, located at the OttawaHospital.
