2 Years later.....

"Peggy's Cove Lighthouse" was the last painting I was able to do for the next 2 years. After being home for a year with my infant son and being able to paint during his nap times, I had to return to work. I am lucky enough now to work from home and provide day care for the neighborhood children. Through this new work I am able to channel my creativity through the kids with crafts and games. I was married in the spring of 2008, and from that point on I am Christina Zeigler and no longer a Leenhouts, (this explains my new signature). Needless to say my attention was focused on these events for those few years. So after this long break from painting there had been something still lacking in my life, until my Maid of Honour gave me a book called "The Artist's Way". I was hooked and it helped me give myself permission to put aside time to paint again. So with some confidence and the encouragement of my loving husband and family I am back and loving it, with a renewed sense of pride and passion in my work.
Here are my latest paintings.....
